the reality of owning a 1937 tudor-revival home in the heart of oklahoma city
welcome! i’m jana!
the “lovely little shit” is what we lovingly call our 1937 tudor revival home in the heart of oklahoma city. to say that being first time home buyers to an old home has been a learning process would be an understatement. i am dedicated to bringing life and love back into this home that has passed through way too many hands in its life. follow along as i learn new skills and become passionate about the details that make an old home so beautiful!
peggy’s not happy the weekend is over either.
day two of views i enjoy coming home to. it’s 66 degrees outside & my plants are happy. 🌿 #lovelylittleshit
walking in the house to this view never gets old, even if it is the most cluttered area of our home. 🖤 #lovelylittleshit
happy 8th birthday little peggsaurs. thank you for sucking us in with your sad little eyes 5 years ago. 🖤🖤
he’s too pretty not to share. he’s also far more photogenic than peggy, which is why you don’t see her here near as often. i wish i was home for one more day with him on my lap. 🖤
it took us a decade of friendship to get a decent picture together. 🖤🖤
love you so much rach. thanks for loving me & i’m still mad at you for always being an expert gift giver.
you get talked into all kinds of weird shit when kids are involved. #happythanksgiving
he gets it.
wishing i was back home with this velvet smoosh this morning.

there are days that i feel the loss of comet like it happened this morning. maybe it’s because of how traumatic it was to watch him go in the way he did. but really i think it’s just because he really was that special. i never knew my heart could love a stupid little chihuahua but boy am i glad it did. 🖤
i honestly can’t believe it’s been over a year.
